Waltham is an American watch company that gained notoriety in the early 1900's for their precise railroad pocket watches. They later transitioned into producing wrist watches and they did so up until the company went out of business in the early 1950's.
This particular chronograph measures 37mm in diameter not including the crown, which is quite large for this time period.
It runs a version of the Landeron 248 manually wound caliber which can be found in many other great vintage timepieces from this time period, from other Swiss manufacturers such as Breitling and Wittnauer respectively.
This watch is a great value in the world of vintage watches and must be seen in person to be truly appreciated.
